- 6 c. thinly sliced apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- dash of ground nutmeg
- pastry for double pie crust
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. lemon
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg (for juicy pie, omit flour).

2Add sugar mixture to the sliced apples, toss to coat fruit.

3Fill a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate with apple mixture; dot with butter.

4Adjust top crust, seal and flute edge.

5Sprinkle with sugar on top if desired.

6Cover edge of pie with foil.

7Bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes.

8Remove foil, bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until crust is golden.

9Cool or serve warm with ice cream.
