  • 2 Golden Delicious apples-peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

    Make the Glaze: Preheat the oven to 350 and line the bottom of a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.

    Arrange the apples wedges in the pan in 2 concentric circles.
