- 6 -8 apples, medium
- 1/4 cup water

1Peel and dice apples.

2Add apples to crockpot or sauce pan.

3Add water.

4Cook in the crockpot on low for approximately 6 hours. Stir occassionally to mush the apples. At the end of the cooking, they will all of a sudden be real mushy.

5You can make this on the stove too. You will have to cook on low and stir more frequently to avoid burning. The apples will probably cook faster on the stove.

6If you use granny smith apples, you may want to add sugar, but otherwise, most apples have enough sugar in them to make your applesauce plenty sweet.
