Applesauce Bread Pudding

  • 6 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. milk
  • 32 oz. jar applesauce
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 10 to 12 slices bread (stale or fresh)
  • 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. raisins, boil until plump

Directions

    Combine eggs, sugar, applesauce and milk.

    Stir in butter, vanilla, cinnamon and drained raisins.

    Tear bread or buns into one-inch pieces, stir until bread is coated.

    If bread is hard, heat milk and let stand until it gets soft.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
