  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c. applesauce, mixed with 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 3 c. flour

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add applesauce and soda. Mix raisins, spices, nuts and salt with sifted flour. Add to applesauce mixture. Bake in greased and floured tube or Bundt pan at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
