  • 1 1/2 sticks oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine sugar, oleo and eggs.

    (Add soda to applesauce and let stand.)

    Beat in dry ingredients, then add applesauce, raisins and nuts.

    Bake at 300° for about 1 1/4 hours in a tube pan.
