  • 1/2 c. cooked dried apricots, sieved
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 3/4 c. chopped coconut or nuts

Directions

    Combine apricots and 1/3 cup sugar; cook until thickened. Cool.

    Cream butter and remaining 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

    Beat in egg yolk and vanilla.
