  • 2 c. asparagus
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 4 hard-cooked eggs

Directions

    Make white sauce of butter, flour, salt, pepper and milk. Stir in cheese. Place 1/2 bread crumbs in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Place alternate layers of sliced eggs, asparagus and cheese sauce on bread crumbs. Cover top with remaining bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
