- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 c. cubed, unpeeled apples
- 2 c. halved red seedless grapes
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 c. walnut halves
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine sugar and flour.

2Stir in water; bring to a boil.

3Cook and stir until mixture thickens.

4Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.

5Cool to room temperature.

6In a large bowl, combine apples, grapes, celery and walnuts.

7Add the dressing and toss lightly.

8Refrigerate until serving.

9Yields 8 to 10 servings.
