Bab'S Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Pet deep dish pie crust- put in oven for 5 minutes before filling
  • stick of butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light Karo syrup
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Directions

    Cook butter, sugar, karo, over low heat til all melted. Do not let it boil. Cool slightly.

    Stir in eggs and vanilla- mix well. Add nuts. Pour into pie shell and bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes.

    Will be slightly soft in center. Cool. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
