- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 (2.1 oz.) Baby Ruth candy bars, chopped
Directions

1In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

3Combine flour, baking soda and salt.

4Add to creamed mixture.

5Stir in candy bars.

6Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inch apart onto greased baking sheets.

7Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until edges are slightly browned. Immediately remove to wire rack to cool.

8Yields 4 dozen.
