- 4 firm apples
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 4 Tbsp. oatmeal (dry)
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 16 pitted prunes
Directions

1Core apples and make a 1/2-inch deep cut around the roundest part of the apple.

2Rub lemon juice on the inside of the cut surface.

3Set apples in a shallow baking dish.

4Place prunes in water that has been brought to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes to plump.

5Remove the pits and mash prunes with a fork.

6Add allspice and mash, stir in oatmeal.

7Fill each apple to the top.

8Bake at 350°

9for 45 minutes.

10Serve immediately.
