  • 2 lb. peas, navy or soldier beans
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • salt pork

    Rinse and soak overnight, after picking over, your choice of beans.

    Parboil until you can blow skin off.

    Cover with water and bake at 300° all day and add water as necessary, or, cook in crock-pot on low all day or longer.
