Ingredients

  • 2 cans pork and beans or 1 large can
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 4 to 6 crisp bacon strips (or can crumble)

Directions

    Open can of beans and pour in saucepan.

    Add all ingredients, except bacon.

    Cook over slow heat until well blended and butter is melted.

    Cook bacon in microwave until crisp.

    Pour beans in casserole dish.

    Lay or crumble bacon on top of beans.

    Bake in oven at 300° for about 1 hour.

    If in a hurry, just simmer in saucepan about 30 minutes instead of baking.
