Baked Country Ham

- 1 country ham
- 2 qt. water
- 1 c. molasses (optional)
Directions

1Soak ham for 24 hours in cold water.

2Take out of water and place in roaster pan.

3Mix 2 quarts of water and 1 cup of molasses together and pour over ham.

4Place 2 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil over ham and place lid on roaster.

5Preheat oven to 500°. Put ham in oven and time for 30 minutes.

6Turn oven off after 30 minutes and wait 3 hours and turn oven back on and let it reach 500° again and time for 30 minutes.

7Then turn oven off and leave ham in overnight, 2:00 PM is a good time to start this recipe.

8Do not open oven after you start!
