- 2 cups milk
- 14-12 cup sugar
- 4 eggs or 8 egg yolks
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- nutmeg
Directions

1Scald milk and sugar

2Cool slightly.

3Beat eggs until light.

4Gradually stir in milk mixture.

5Add vanilla.

6Strain if you have added milk mixture too fast and cooked some of the egg.

7Pour into dish and sprinkle with nutmeg.

8Place dish in pan of hot water.

9Bake at 350 25-30 minute.

10Knife inserted will come out clean when done.

11Do not overcook.
