  • 6 eggs
  • 6 to 8 slices white bread
  • 1 lb. ham, Spam or bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 3/4 to 1 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • chopped green onions and green or red peppers (optional)
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

    Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with the bread slices (crusts removed). Butter bottom sides of bread.

    Cover bread with the cheese and meat.

    Beat eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard together; pour over top.

    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

    Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 350°.
