Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Add eggs.

    Set aside.

    Work sugar, salt and Crisco like pie crust.

    Add 3 cups flour gradually.

    Add egg mixture and work in remaining flour.

    Cover with damp cloth. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.

    Roll out like pie crust. Cut into pie shaped wedges.

    Roll up each wedge starting with large end.

    Let rise 3 hours.

    Bake at 375°.

    Makes 24 medium size.
