  • 3/4 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. milk

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in saucepan.

    Cook over medium heat until sugar melts.
  3. 3
    Spread lightly over top of warm cake.
  4. 4
    Place in a 400° oven for about 10 minutes to brown lightly.
  5. 5
    Yields enough frosting for tops of two 8-inch layer cakes or one 8-inch square cake.
