Baked Potato Shells

Ingredients

  • 4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. instant mashed potatoes
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 4 Tbsp. chives, chopped
  • 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • paprika (optional)

Directions

    Bring water to boil in large saucepan.

    Add butter, salt and milk.

    Remove from heat.

    Add instant mashed potatoes, sour cream, cream cheese, garlic powder and chives.

    Mix well.

    Fill aluminum foil potato shells.

    Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top or if preferred, paprika.

    Place shells on cookie sheet.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350° (the shells freeze very well).

    Bakes 14 shells.
