- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine the milk and cornstarch.

2Cook until thick and set aside to cool.

3In a bowl, cream the shortening, butter and sugar with an electric mixer for about 10 minutes.

4Add the creamed mixture to the milk mixture.

5Add the salt and vanilla.

6Beat together with the mixer until creamy like whipped cream.
