- 2 lb. ground pecans
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 lb. sweet butter, melted
- 1 to 2 lb. phyllo dough
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. honey
Directions

1Combine 2 cups sugar, pecans and cinnamon.

2Brush 12 x 17-inch baking tray or pan with melted butter.

3Place 12 phyllo leaves at bottom, brushing each with melted butter.

4Spread 1/2 of nut mixture on leaves.

5Add another layer with 6 buttered leaves and add remaining nut mixture on top.

6Finish with a top layer of 12 to 15 buttered leaves.

7Score top with sharp knife into diamond shapes.

8Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until golden brown.

9Let cool, then pour syrup over until saturated.
