- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1 1/4 c. ripe bananas
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease pans thoroughly, then dust lightly with flour.

2Sift flour once, then measure and sift again with soda and baking powder.

3Cream butter, add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.

4Add the whole eggs, beating well after the addition of each.

5Add sour milk and vanilla to bananas.

6Add alternately the flour and banana mixture to butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

7Beat until smooth and well blended.

8Do not overmix.

9Divide evenly into cake pans.

10Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
