Banana Split Cake

  • 2 c vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 5 Tbsp melted butter or margerine
  • 3 to 4 bananas, sliced lengthwise in half
  • 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
  • 1/3 c lemon juice
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • chopped nuts
  • Cool Whip
  • red cherries
  • coconut

Directions

    Mix crused wafers and melted butter; press into bottom of rectangle dish.

    Slice bananas lengthwise and cover bottom.

    Avoid overly ripe bananas.

    Use yellow skinned with green tip.

    Mix together condensed milk and lemon joice; spread on top of bananas. Spread crushed pineapple on top of Eagle Brand layer.

    Cover with whipped topping.

    (8 to 9 ounces is plenty.)

    Sprinkle coconut, chopped nuts and arrange cherries on top to designate serving size. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
