Banana Split Pie

  • 1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 stick margarine (room temperature)
  • 1 oz. sweetened chocolate, grated
  • 3 bananas

Directions

    Dip bananas in lemon or pineapple juice to prevent darkening. Combine powdered sugar, eggs and margarine and beat with an electric mixer about 5 minutes until fluffy.

    Add grated chocolate and mix well.

    Thinly slice two bananas and arrange in cooled, baked shell.

    Pour mixture in shell.

    Top with one sliced banana arranged around the rim of the pie to form border.

    Chill 2 hours. Just before serving, top with whipped dessert topping and chopped nutmeats.
