- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 stick oleo
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream oleo and shortening with sugar.

2Add 1 egg at a time, beating well with each addition.

3Sift flour.

4Add baking powder and sift again.

5Add milk and flour alternately to mixture, blending well.

6Add vanilla.

7Pour into greased and floured tube pan or 2 loaf pans.

8Put into cold oven.

9Bake at 350° for 1 hour 15 minutes.
