  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • Salt and pepper

    Remove the cooked chicken or pork from the skillet.

    Working over medium-high heat, add the butter, swish it around the pan to melt it, then whisk in the flour and cook until light brown, about 1 minute.

    Whisk in the chicken stock and barbecue sauce and season with salt and pepper.
