- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper

1Remove the cooked chicken or pork from the skillet.

2Working over medium-high heat, add the butter, swish it around the pan to melt it, then whisk in the flour and cook until light brown, about 1 minute.

3Whisk in the chicken stock and barbecue sauce and season with salt and pepper.

4Continue whisking and cook until thickened, about 3 minutes.

5Pour the sauce over the chicken or pork.
