- 2 oranges
- 2 quarts barberries
- 34 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 cups sugar
Directions

1Slice the oranges into very thin sections and remove the seeds.

2Cook the slices in a little water till tender.

3Clean and stem the fully ripe barberries.

4Crush the fruit with a potato masher and strain the pulp and juice through a strainer to remove the seeds.

5Add the juice pulp to the cooked oranges and mix well.

6Add the cinnamon, lemon juice and sugar.

7Mix well and bring to a boil, then simmer over a low heat till the sauce thickens.

8Remove from heat; pour into hot sterile jelly jars and seal.
