Ingredients

  • 1 c. barley
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 large can mushrooms (use juice)
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 6 beef bouillon cubes

Directions

    Saute onion and barley until brown.

    Add other ingredients. Bake in a greased casserole for 2 1/2 hours at 350°.

    Can use a slow cooker.
