- 12 cup dry barley
- 14 cup butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (12 ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, sliced
- 12-34 cup French-fried onions
- 12 cup slivered almonds
Directions

1Melt butter in skillet.

2Brown barley and onion in butter.

3When golden brown, place in a casserole dish with broth, mushrooms slices (including water) and almonds.

4Cover, bake about 1 hour.

5Before serving, sprinkle with French fried onions and recover.
