Basic Cooked White Rice Recipe

- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. white onions, minced
- 1 c. white rice
- 1 1/2 c. water, warm
- 2 x bouillon cubes, chicken
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 x bay leaf
Directions

1Recipe can be doubled with no problems.

2Heat butter in a pot which has a tight fitting lid and add in the onions for about 5 min till tender but not browned.

3Stir in the rice and stir to coat the rice with butter.

4Once coated, add in the warm water, bouillon cubes, pepper and the bay leaf and bring to a boil.

5Once you reach a boil, cover the rice and reduce the heat to its lowest setting.

6Cook for 25 min covered.

7Don't stir, don't look, don't worry.

8Remove from heat after 25 min and set aside covered for 20 min.
