- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 14 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 14 cup lemon juice
- 14 cup olive oil
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted (optional)
- 1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
Directions

1In a blender or food processor combine the garbanzo beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, oil, and salt.

2Cover and blend or process until smooth, scraping sides as necessary.

3Spoon the hummus onto a serving platter.

4If desired garnish with pine nuts.

5Sprinkle with parsley.
