    Regular soak: put beans into a large bowl with 2-3 inches of water.

    Set aside for 8hrs or overnight.

    Quick soak: put beans into a large pot 2-3 inches of water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Cover, remove from the heat and rest for 1 hr.

    After soaking the beans and draining them put the beans in a large pot and add water, bring to a boil.

    Lower the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until bean are tender when mashed or pierced with a fork.

    Most beans requires 90 mins to 2 hrs.

    You may add salt and pepper if desired.
