- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. scalded milk
- 1 c. water
- 7 c. sifted flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter
Directions

1Combine yeast in 1/2 cup water; add milk and 1 cup water to yeast.

2Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Beat until smooth. Cover; let stand for 15 minutes.

4Knead dough until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.

5Punch down and let rise again for 30 minutes.

6Divide into 2 parts.

7Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.

8Shape into loaves.

9Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
