- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 ounces active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle beer (ale)
- 1 cup basil, chopped
Directions

1Heat oven to 400 degrees.

2Lightly oil a baking sheet with olive oil.

3In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, pepper, and parmesan.

4Add beer add mix until dough just barely comes together.

5Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.

6Sprinkle with basil and knead gently until well incorporated.

7Shape dough into a round loaf and place on baking sheet.

8Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

9Cool loaf on wire rack.

10Wait at least 10 minutes before slicing.
