- 1 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. soft margarine or shortening
- 2 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Measure warm water into large warm bowl.

2Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved.

3Stir in sugar, half of flour and salt.

4Beat with spoon until smooth.

5Scrape down sides of bowl; cover.

6Let rise in warm place free from draft until double in bulk (about 20 minutes).

7Stir down dough.

8Spoon into 12 large greased muffin cups, filling each half full.

9Again, let rise until dough reaches tops of muffin cups (20 to 30 minutes).

10Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.

11Makes 12 buns or more, depending on size of muffin cups. Very easy and quick.
