  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 3 potatoes, cut into quarters
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 2 slices white bread, cubed
  • small bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. red wine

    Combine all in casserole with lid (bean pot). Bake 5 hours at 250°.
