Bean Salad

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 large can each: kidney beans, green beans and wax beans
- 1 small can lima beans
Directions

1Mix together sugar, water, vinegar and salt in a saucepan. Cook 10 minutes.

2Cool.

3Drain beans and put in a large dish. Cover with cooled liquid and allow to stand in refrigerator for as long as possible, or overnight.

4At serving time, add celery, onion and green pepper; toss and serve.
