Beef And Biscuits Casserole

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 (8 oz.) cans refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 beaten egg

Directions

    Brown meat in onion; stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic powder.

    Simmer.

    Line 9 x 13-inch pan with biscuits, combine half of the cheese, sour cream and egg; then mix with meat.

    Spoon the meat mixture over the biscuits.

    Sprinkle the rest of cheese on top of the meat mixture.

    Bake 30 minutes at 375°.
