Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef, venison or turkey
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/2 c. chili sauce or salsa
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. barley

Directions

    Saute in skillet the ground beef, onion, celery and green pepper.

    Drain off excess fat.

    Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat to simmer.

    Cover and cook until barley is tender.
