  • 2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. Morton Tender Quick curing salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp. powdered garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. coarse ground pepper
  • dash of ground red pepper or cayenne (optional)

Directions

    Mix well. Roll in 1/2-inch rolls (this makes about 5 rolls). Wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Store in refrigerator for 24 hours; place on broiler pan. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool. Keep refrigerated or frozen.
