  • 2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. (1-1/2 oz.) brown gravy mix with mushrooms
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 ribs celery, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 3 md. potatoes, peeled and cut into eighths
  • 3 md. carrots, sliced

Directions

    Place beef cubes in 3-quart microproof casserole or baking dish.

    Sprinkle with salt.

    Stir together gravy mix and water; pour over the meat.

    Cook covered in microwave on 70% power for 50 minutes, stirring once during cooking.

    Add vegetables and mix to cover with gravy.

    Cook covered on 50% power for 40 or 50 minutes or until vegetables and meat are tender.

    Let stand five minutes before serving.
