- 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 10 1/2 oz. can mushroom gravy
- 1 c. tomato juice
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix (1/4 c.)
- 1 tsp. prepared horseradish
- 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
Directions

1Brown meat in oil. Drain off fat. Combine gravy, tomato juice, water, soup mix and horseradish. Stir into the meat and simmer 5 minutes. Place potatoes in a 2-quart casserole dish. Top with meat mixture and cover. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. Stir once or twice.
