- 3 lb. beef stew meat (cut into cubes)
- 1 c. port wine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 can onion soup, undiluted
- 1 can mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1- 8 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO BROWN MEAT. Mix all ingredients in a covered casserole dish and bake at 300° for 3 hours. Serve over fluffy rice, noodles or whipped potatoes. Thicken gravy if necessary. Raise temperature of over to 400°.

2Remove cover from pan and add 1 can of refrigerated canned biscuits to top of stew. Bake until biscuits are browned. Bake extra biscuits to serve stew over biscuit.
