- 13 cup flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1 lb stewing beef
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 2 yellow onions, sliced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 (1 1/2 ounce) packet onion gravy mix
Directions

1Blend salt and pepper with 1/2 the flour and thoroughly coat beef.

2In a heavy bottom pan, melt 2 Tbsp of the margarine and add beef, brown evenly.

3Set browned beef aside and add remaining margarine to the pan with garlic, onions and mushrooms and cook until softened, scraping the bottom of the pan of the crunchy bits from the beef.

4Stir in remaining flour and add back beef.

5Add beef broth and mix in packet of onion gravy mix.

6Cover and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
