- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 to 2 1/2 lb. boneless beef round steak, cut into cubes
- dash of salt
- dash of black pepper
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of tomato soup (undiluted)
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme, divided
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 c. cooked egg noodles
Directions

1Melt butter in a large skillet, add steak cubes and brown all over.

2Add salt, pepper, tomato soup and half of the beef consomme.

3Stir to make a smooth sauce.

4Add onion and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
