- 1 lb. stew beef, cut in pieces (boneless)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper or to taste
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 can consomme
- 2 Tbsp. onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom pieces and stems
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 bag instant rice
Directions

1Dredge beef in flour, salt and pepper.

2Brown in oil in pan over high heat.

3Add 1/2 can of consomme and 1/2 can of water. Cook until tender (add more water if needed).

4Add onion, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce and soups and mix well.

5Place in large flat baking dish.

6Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

7Stir in sour cream and bake 30 more minutes.

8Cook rice according to directions, substituting the remaining consomme for equal amount. Serve over rice.
