Beef With Broccoli(Chinese)

- 1 lb. beef steak (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. sherry
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. Accent (m.s.g.; optional)
- 1 slice ginger root or 1/4 c. sliced onion
- 5 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 bunch fresh broccoli
Directions

1Cut beef steak across grain into thin 1/4-inch slices.

2Mix sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, sugar and Accent and set aside.

3Cut broccoli into flowerets, peel stalk and cut into slices.

4Pour 2 tablespoons oil into a hot wok/skillet; add salt and broccoli.

5Stir and turn constantly until broccoli turns dark green.

6Remove from wok and spread on plate.

7Put remaining 3 tablespoons oil in wok.

8Add ginger or onion slices.

9Stir in beef mixture and keep turning constantly until almost done.

10Add cooked broccoli to beef.

11Mix thoroughly until beef cooked to desire degree of doneness.

12Serve immediately.
