- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract or 2 Tbsp. Ovaltine
Directions

1Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until light.

2Add cooled melted butter, milk and vanilla or Ovaltine.

3Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat well.

4Beat egg whites until stiff and gently fold into batter.

5Bake and serve.

6Makes 10 (4 1/2-inch square) waffles.
