Ingredients
- 8 to 10 apples
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg
- 1/2 cup softened margarine
Directions

1Coat bottom of pie plate or baking dish with margarine.

2Peel and slice apples into bite size pieces.

3Fill dish with apples till they extend above the sides of pan.

4Apples will shrink so be sure to pack the apples tight with no spaces.

5Mix together, sugar, flour, oats, spices and margarine.

6Besure margarine is very soft not melted.

7Mix so ingredients are moist and crumbly.

8Spread over the top of apples and cover evenly, press a bit to secure.

9Bake 375F for 35min.

10Or till topping is browned and apples start bubbling on the edges.

11Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

12This is the basic recipe, any size pan can be used, just fill your desired amount of apples.
